- Columns are structural members that mostly
work in compression and bending, and only very short columns can be axially loaded to
their yield stress.
- Beams is a horizontal structural element that
is capable of withstanding load primarily by resisting bending.
- Joists the horizontal supporting members that
run from wall to wall, wall to beam, or beam to beam to support a ceiling, roof, or
floor
- Decks is a cold-formed corrugated steel sheet
supported by steel joists. It is used to support the concrete or insulating membrane of
a roof.
- Grating is used for many applications such as
catwalks, platforms, stairs, grills, grates, fencing, vaults, ventilated bin floors,
ramps, loading docks, food preparation areas, fire escapes, window and machinery grate
guards, wash racks, running boards, ventilation screens and many more
applications.
- Trusses are commonly used in commercial
construction. They are pre-manufactured to order and are made in an open web design. The
advantage of using steel trusses for building is that they are stronger than wood, and
greater open space inside a building is possible.
